Additional Programs

In addition to supporting the needs of counselors in the district, the Round Rock ISD Counseling Services Department also supports the two full-time licensed Child Development Centers and the Teen Parent Program.

Panorama Student Survey

Round Rock ISD provides students in grades 3 through 12 with a once-a-semester survey. This student survey includes questions about their sense of belonging, school safety, and self-efficacy.

For students in grades Pre-K through grade 2, teachers are recording their perceptions of the classroom environment. Topics covered include self-efficacy and a sense of belonging in school.

Students will complete the online survey during the school day. The survey provides the district with information that will help staff members support student needs responsively and positively.

Parents/guardians may complete this form to opt their child out of the survey. If you submitted an opt-out form in the Fall, your student has already opted out.

The survey may take up to 30 minutes to complete, and student participation is not required. Participating students will log in to the survey tool using their unique student number. Their name will appear on the first screen of the survey. If a parent/guardian opts their child out and responses are inadvertently collected, those responses will be deleted from the survey collection. The survey program supports Round Rock ISD Board Goal 4.

Spring 2025

Survey Dates: March 3 – 14
Parent/guardian Spring survey opt-out date is February 21.

“The Panorama survey collects student attitudes and perspectives on their sense of belonging at school.”

“Simultaneously, in the Spring, the district conducts campus climate surveys which helps develop annual campus improvement plans. Both surveys deliver vital information to leaders for measuring annual progress on key district initiatives.”

Child Development Centers

Round Rock ISD has two full-time, licensed child development centers (CDCs) for teen parents to use while they are in school. The day care centers are housed at Great Oaks Elementary and Success High School. Students pay no fees for child care services, but are expected to attend and pass their classes in order to be eligible for child care. Students attending Stony Point, Cedar Ridge, or Success High School use the Success HS daycare, and students attending Round Rock, McNeil, or Westwood High School use the Great Oaks daycare. Additionally, Round Rock ISD employees may utilize the child care centers at affordable tuition rates.

Teen Parent Program

The Round Rock ISD Teen Parent Program is a comprehensive program designed to help pregnant and/or parenting students successfully graduate from high school. It consists of 5 components designed to support students so that they can continue in school.
